Savage Blade and Other Things

Since I’ve last been able to post anything, I’ve been busy straightening things out with Ineyeri. I still don’t know what our status is, but, I’m willing to give it some time.

I wish I had a whole bunch of things to write about, but really, there isn’t a whole lot. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the past defending Windurst and West Sarutabaruta as this nation is having a terrible time obtaining more than just these two areas. It seems that every poll, we find ourselves gaining and losing the West Sarutabaruta area. With all of this campaigning I’ve been doing, I’ve finally managed to obtain my Starlight Medal. I’m hoping to gain my next rank, the Moonlight Medal as quickly as I did the the Starlight Medal. Once I have that medal, I’ll be at a standstill trying to maintain it while I go about obtaining Allied Notes to finish off getting the Cobra gear set, and a manual from Bastok that looks to be a very nice welcome to my ammo slot for when I am going around as a Scholar.

By doing all the campaign that I’ve been doing, I’ve leveled my Red Mage job up to presently 73. I’m inching closer to 74 which puts me just one level away from having it at it’s max level.

When I wasn’t doing campaign, I was out in the Boyahda Tree with a fellow adventurer friend of mine, Madness skilling up my sword so I could work on obtaining my weapon skill, Savage Blade. When I managed to cap my sword skill at 240, I went to North San d’Oria and talked to Curilla. She presented me a Sapara of Trials that I had to break the latent effect on to prove I was worthy to obtain this weapons skill. I spent a lot of time in the past performing weapon skill on the Yagudo’s, duoed for a bit with Ineyeri on them to allow for some weapon skill skill chains that provided me more points than when I was performing weapons skills by myself. After I got tired fighting bird after bird after bird, I took a break and the next day picked it up again in Vunkerl Inlet this time on Robber Crabs. I started out again by myself and managed to talk Ineyeri into joining me so I could do some skill chains to make it go by faster.

During all this time trying to break the latent, I did find out that I am unable to solo a bad link of three Yagudos whos jobs were a monk, red mage, and a black mage. It tore through my magic points and ate away at my stoneskin. In the process in trying to use some of my health points to give me some magic points by converting, I became a “one hit wonder” by the red mage bird I was fighting. Needless to say, I never go my reraise back up after it had wore due to not thinking about really needing it. Ineyeri had to come out and raise me, that is what got her involved with skill chaining with me the first time.

After finally breaking the latent on this sapara, I headed back to Curilla and she sent me off to the Quicksand Caves to fight a scorpion. Ineyeri and two other linkshell members assisted me in fighting this scorpion. I thank them for their help. If it weren’t for them, I’d not been able to have the Savage Blade weapons skill that I have now.

I’ll be ending this post with some pictures I took in the past few days.
